Land Of Lincoln Honor Flight Takes Off Again Tuesday

After being grounded by the COVID pandemic, Land of Lincoln Honor Flight will resume its trips for veterans of past conflicts on Tuesday.

The Honor Flight takes those veterans and an accompanying “guardian” out to Washington, DC, to visit war memorials and other sites on a one-day visit. Those flights were suspended in March of 2020 because of COVID, and are now resuming. Tuesday’s flight will feature one World War II veteran, 26 who served in the Korean War era, and 65 from the Vietnam conflict.

The flight leaves early Tuesday and is scheduled to return Tuesday night to Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport.
