A Tallula man remains in the Sangamon County Jail following his arrest last week and the seizure of multiple guns in his possession.
County deputies made a traffic stop March 3rd on Widetrack Drive, and found the driver, 44-year-old Jason Padgett, had a revoked license. He told deputies that he had weapons in his vehicle and did not have a FOID card. Padgett was handcuffed while officers searched the vehicle. They found five different guns… one of which had a defaced serial number… along with ammunition for each weapon, and a Taser.
Padgett was arrested on multiple weapons and traffic charges and is being held on $200,000 bond.
