Four more Sangamon County residents have died of complications from COVID-19.
Three of the four latest fatalities were unvaccinated… a man in his 60s, a man in his 70s, and a woman in her 80s. But one of the deaths was a woman in her 60s who was both vaccinated and boosted. The county’s death toll now stands at 348. Of that number, only eight of the deaths were among people who were fully vaccinated and boosted.
The county also reported 190 new cases of COVID on Tuesday, as the average daily number of new infections locally continues to fall.
