SPD and Springfield Alderpeople continue discussing recourse concerning pop-up parties across the city

A Springfield Alderwoman says she’s been in contact with the police department about combatting pop-up parties – where hundreds of people meet up at a public location and subsequently party.

Alderwoman LaKeisha Purchase says there was
a recent party at Madison Park Place, where bottles were littered, and there were hundreds of cars parked up and around homes.

Springfield Police Chief Ken Scarlette says
they’re looking to hold more people accountable for them in the future.
