Lawmakers in Springfield are considering a bill that would require all school vendors to follow the state’s new literacy plan.
Democrats in the state House want all vendors responsible for English language arts improvement plans to comply with the Literacy and Justice for All Act.
The state Board of Education introduced the outline for the literacy plan in January.
