Illinois Governor Pritzker notes his disappointment with Chicago City Council Israel-Hamas ceasefire resolution

Governor Pritzker is disappointed that the Chicago City Council passed a
resolution calling for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

The governor says he believes the measure will have zero impact on U.S. policy.

He also criticized the wording of the symbolic resolution, saying it didn’t include all of the perspectives.

The City Council approved the ceasefire resolution Wednesday when Mayor Brandon Johnson cast the tie-breaking vote following a heated debate.
