The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications now for instructors for 2024 summer fishing clinics through the department’s Urban Fishing Program.
Fishing instructors are temporary employment positions, which are not to exceed six months.
Available spots are based in Boone, Champaign, Jackson, Jefferson, Macon, Madison, McLean, Peoria, Rock Island, Sangamon, and St. Clair counties.
The Illinois Urban Fishing Program was established in 1985 to teach people of all ages to fish.
