SIU School of Medicine workers still fighting for adequate wage increases after months of bargaining

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine workers are still fighting for fair wages.

Employees rallied at the school Wednesday and claim they’ve been at the bargaining table for nearly eight months.

They also claim management is now offering only a 2.5% raise that doesn’t keep up with the rising costs.

SIU School of Medicine released a statement that said they’re still continuing to work with an outside mediator and their goal “is to move toward a resolution that is financially feasible and beneficial for all.”
