There is more roadwork coming to Springfield thanks to innovations being made by CWLP.
Beginning on Monday, November 6, S. 11th Street will be detoured between Ash and Monticello Streets for City Water, Light, and Power crews to install water service and a fire hydrant for a new Springfield Fire Department Fire House being constructed in the 2100 block.
This closure will restrict all through traffic during the work and until road surface repairs are complete; the work is, as usual, weather-dependent and will be rescheduled for the next dry weather day in the event of rain.
CWLP urges all motorists to plan alternative routes to avoid delays and should slow down and be aware of construction and repair crews and equipment in and near the area being renovated.
