Anyone interested in learning how to turn wood on a lathe will have a chance later on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
That’s when the Frank and Linda Vala Dream Center of Sangamon County will host a free learning event at its campus located at 1480 N. Fifth St. in Springfield. Participants will learn how to turn a wooden bowl on a lathe in this event sponsored by the Land of Lincoln Woodturners.
