The Sangamon County Board approved a resolution this week that will launch a Farm to School pilot program in the Pawnee school district.
The three-year program will transform the school’s food service into a from-scratch program with a diverse menu.
The school district said in a statement that the program will allow the school community to connect with local farmers and serve more local food to their students.
