Little bronze dog sculptures to honor Lincoln’s dog Fido for this Saturday’s International Dog Day are scattered about Springfield

Six local artists have created original dog sculptures cast in bronze, which have since been placed around downtown Springfield.

The installation honors International Dog Day this Saturday, and this year’s theme revolves around Fido, President Lincoln’s dog.

Fido’s “Puppies” are small-scale bronze sculptures scattered throughout downtown Springfield.
