City Water Light and Power managed to restore power to almost all customers on Saturday, reducing the number of customers without power from about 1700 to under twenty by Sunday evening – nine days after the derecho, according to the CWLP website.
Public Works Director Dave Fuchs said, “The city has deployed three cutting crews dealing exclusively with cutting trees, cutting limbs, and removing them from the public way.”
