Springfield Mayor Misty Buscher has designated the person who will carry out her duties if at any point she is unable to do so. Buscher has named Ward 9 Alderman Jim Donelan to serve as mayor pro tem.
If Buscher cannot carry out the duties of her office, Donelan would have full mayoral powers for the duration of her absence.
Buscher points to Donelan’s years of experience with local government, including his years as an alderman and his service as the executive assistant under Mayor Tim Davlin.
