Road work could cause some disruptions for Springfield drivers this week.
Beginning Monday, Cockrell Lane will be completely shut down for emergency repairs to the overhead railroad structure just north of Mathers Road.
There will be some access to residential driveways, but otherwise Cockrell will be closed from Mathers to Constitution Drive through Thursday.
In addition, Laurel Street will be closed between 2nd and 4th Streets for railroad crossing repairs.
That project will begin at 7 pm Monday and continue overnight, with the road scheduled to reopen by 7 am Tuesday.
