The steady decline in local gas prices may be starting to level off.
The average price for regular unleaded in Springfield has fallen below $3 a gallon in the past week… but Monday’s average of $2.95 a gallon was up slightly from Sunday.
Still, prices are down more than 60 cents a gallon from one month ago, and are more than 40-percent lower than the record highs set last June.
