There will be three contested races among the seven seats on the Springfield school board next spring. All seven seats are up this year following redistricting.
Three incumbents are unopposed… Anthony Mares, Buffy Lael-Wolf, and Erica Austin. Debra Iams will run unopposed in Subdistrict 7 after incumbent William Ringer did not seek another term.
The contested races are incumbent Micah Miller against challenger Emerson Weed in Subdistrict 2… a three-way race in Subdistrict 3 with incumbent Sarah Blissett facing challengers Spurgeon Johnson and Jessica Bandy… and another three-way race in Subdistrict 4, as appointed incumbent Jeff Tucka will go up against Donna Hopwood and Ken Gilmore.
