If your Christmas shopping is costing you more this year, it may be the result of higher costs to transport those goods.
That’s because diesel fuel remains substantially more expensive than this time last year. Although prices have fallen in recent weeks, the Thanksgiving average statewide was more than five dollars a gallon… compared to around $3.60 a gallon this time last year.
And with diesel supplies running low, costs are not expected to come down any time soon.
