Davis, Miller Vote No On Bipartisan Gun Bill

Congressman Rodney Davis has voted “no” on a bipartisan gun safety package that cleared Congress Friday and is now on its way to President Biden’s desk.

The measure was put together in the aftermath of the Buffalo and Uvalde, Texas mass shootings. It will strengthen background checks for gun buyers between the ages of 18 and 21, expand restrictions on gun ownership by domestic violence offenders, and fund youth mental health programs.

But Davis says it undermines the Second Amendment. His GOP primary opponent, Mary Miller, was also a “no” vote on the legislation.
