Suspect Identified In Death Of Knox County Deputy

Illinois State Police have identified the suspect accused of striking a Knox County sheriff’s deputy with his car, killing him.
 
The deputy was placing spike strips on a roadway in Henry County in an effort to slow down the vehicle that was being pursued by police following a firearms incident. Police say that fleeing vehicle hit the deputy and then crashed into a field, where the suspect was captured.
 
22-year-old Daylon Richardson of Granite City is facing multiple felony counts, including two counts of first-degree murder.
