A Springfield man is dead after a single vehicle crash on Wednesday night on Interstate 55.
State police say 63-year-old Terry Huffman was driving north on the interstate near milepost 93 just before 10:30pm. Authorities say his vehicle went off the road for unknown reasons and came to rest in a ditch on the right. Huffman was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There was no immediate word on what may have caused the crash.
