A death investigation is underway after a fatal stabbing in Thayer.
Sangamon County sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in the 300 block of West Elm in Thayer shortly after 4pm Tuesday. A female was found deceased inside the residence.
Sheriff Jack Campbell was not immediately able to provide additional details on the circumstances of the woman’s death.
