The Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones have closed out a successful season with a second place finish in the state, falling to Joliet Catholic 56-27 in the IHSA Class 4A football finals.
Joliet Catholic senior Jordan Anderson scored five touchdowns to lead the unbeaten Hilltoppers past SH-G, which finished the year 12-2. It was the 15th state championship for Joliet Catholic.
