Rough night last night, as a bad beat from the Browns that should have been a push, and a stunning second half rally by Marquette to upset Creighton dropped me to 5-4, We will try to do better tonight on a full slate of College Basketball. I’ll give you my four favorites..
Iowa State -7 vs. Kansas State. It’s the freshmen blues for these Wildcats, as they will have to turn it around in a hurry to save the season. It won’t happen tonight, as the Cyclones cover by winning in double digits.
Florida State -8 vs. Georgia Tech. Jay Bilas of ESPN thinks the Seminoles would have been a Final Four team had they played the tournament last year. Jay Bilas knows way more about college hoops then Chris Murphy.
VCU -14.5 vs. Western Carolina- My third cover of the night is the Rams in a cake walk at home. It is a lot of points to lay early in the season, but I think the Rams will almost double cover in this one.
Wisconsin -9 vs. Loyola Chicago- I like the Badgers playing at home to cover against the unbeaten Ramblers.
And this pick is just for fun because it’s illegal to bet on Illini basketball in Illinois, but the Illini will mop the floor with the Gophers. Minnesota hasn’t been tested, and Illinois is looking to bounce back after the comeback clunker at Missouri. Only giving 8 is the steal of the year if you’re reading this in Vegas.
