The University of Illinois is inviting the public to once again attend Jazz at the Pharmacy on March 13.
For several years, the UIS Jazz Ensemble has come together to celebrate The Art of Jazz at the Pharmacy Center in downtown Springfield. Consisting of a diverse mix of students and faculty at the school alongside Springfield community members, the Ensemble is a traditional big band performing a broad jazz repertoire of both classic standards and new compositions, as well as innovative jazz arrangements.
The Ensemble will play at the Pharmacy Gallery and Art Space located at 623 East Adams Street, starting on Thursday, March 13 at 7:00 PM and ending at 9:00 PM. $10 donations will be taken at the door, with light refreshments made available. The performance coincides with the Pharmacy Gallery’s ongoing Choose Love exhibit, which opened earlier this month and runs until May 5.
