Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control requesting hot dog donations from the community

The Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control are asking the community for donations, and the donation is unexpected.

The animal shelter is in need of hot dogs right now. They said the supply runs low pretty quickly because it’s how a lot of the dogs receive their medication.

The animal shelter said that recently, they had a lot of dogs come in that need to take medicine, and hot dogs can make the process easier.

The shelter is open 10:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. from Monday through Friday. They are also open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

You can drop the hot dogs off at the shelter, which is located at 2100 Shale Street in Springfield.
