The Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon is getting new lights installed that will illuminate the iconic Carillon and mark the beginning of the holiday season in Springfield.
The unveiling will be on Nov. 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon, 1740 W Fayette Ave.
Officials say the new lighting system will enhance the beauty of the carillon, creating a stunning display that can be
enjoyed throughout the year, especially during evening performances.
In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests will be treated to a special preview of the new lights in action, followed by a holiday-themed carillon concert to officially ring in the season with a special holiday lighting surprise.
