Several Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Illinois have turned off their fryers for good.
According to KFC’s website, five locations in the Central Illinois area are closed; those include the Mattoon, Clinton, Champaign, and the Springfield restaurant located on 9th Street and Jefferson.
The KFCs in Charleston, Effingham, Taylorville, Urbana, Savoy, Decatur and the Springfield location on 6th Street all remain open, according to the website.
