More than two acres of donated land will become the newest learning space at Lincoln Land Community College.
The school has formally dedicated the site on West Lake Shore Drive, now renamed West Lake Nature Grove; it will include beehives, fruit trees, bushes and other plant life.
The site will be incorporated into classes in agriculture, horticulture, and other sciences.
The land was donated by Robbie Robert, Jr., president of Robert’s Seafood in Springfield, and enhancements to the site were funded through the Kreher Farm Perpetual Charitable Trust within the LLCC Foundation.
