Smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to impact air quality across Central Illinois

Fires have been burning for days in the eastern Canadian province of Nova Scotia – and that smoke has been traveling through the U.S. The National Weather Service says hazy conditions are possible across Central Illinois through at least Monday.

The Illinois EPA says particles from the smoke can cause some difficulties for people with respiratory problems, and say those individuals should consider limiting their time outdoors for the next couple of days.
