Vose Korndogs has returned this season with a brand new building

An Illinois State Fairgrounds institution is back, with a brand new building.

Vose Korndogs reopened over the weekend after bringing in a new structure to replace the stand that had stood on the fairgrounds for nearly 50 years.

The popular stand was founded by former Springfield alderman Bob Vose, who died in February.

Vose’s kids and grandkids are keeping the business going, both with the fairgrounds stand and with two trailers that travel to various events in the area.

The new Vose Korndogs building will be open and serving food on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday through Monday.
