Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum to have AI event starting later this May

Is artificial intelligence any match for the real, human historians at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum? A special event later this month aims to find out.

Scholars from the presidential museum will quiz the ChatGPT chatbot to see how well it understands and can explain historical facts about Lincoln and the Civil War.

The ALPLM says the goal is to find out if artificial intelligence can be a valuable tool for researchers, or if it will produce misinformation. The event begins at 6:30 pm on May 24, and is free and open to the public.

You can reserve a seat by clicking on the “Events” link at PresidentLincoln.illinois.gov.
