While the number nine seeded Illini play number eight Arkansas later today in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, the Chicago Bulls played last evening and managed to lose to the Sacramento Kings thanks to a huge De’Aaron Fox three-pointer with just seconds remaining in the game.

For the Bulls, the loss drops them to just a half-game out of the final play-in seed – 10; the Bulls do have off on Thursday before returning to action on Friday to host the Timberwolves of Minnesota.

The Blackhawks had yesterday off after their thrashing of the Boston Bruins, but return to the ice this evening – this time in Tennessee – against the Predators.

Meanwhile, the St. Louis Blues lost handily to the Minnesota Wild last evening by a score of 8-5; while the Blues jumped out to the early lead by the end of the first period, the Wild scored five goals in the second period to create the distance that would prove vital in the end.

The Blues will return to action on Friday as well to play the Washington Capitals on the east coast.
