District 186 is releasing more details about its call for proposals to rename the track or football field at Memorial Stadium.
The district initially got a request to rename the stadium itself for Ray Ramsey, a former NFL player who graduated from, and later returned as a teacher and coach at, Lanphier High School.
While a district committee recommended against renaming the stadium, it did leave open the possibility of naming components of the stadium to honor deserving individuals. Nominations will be taken until March 3 through the link here.
The committee will consider those nominations at a meeting on March 13, and will then make final recommendations to the school board.
