Incoming Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias has put together his transition team… which includes a prominent role for the man he just defeated in the November election.
Republican state Representative Dan Brady… who lost to Giannoulias by a margin of 54 to 44 percent… will chair a transition committee on organ donation and serve on the driver facilities and road safety committee.
In a statement, Brady says he appreciates Giannoulias looking beyond party politics and says he’s happy to provide any assistance he can to improve the secretary of state’s office.
