ISP Trooper Injured In Scott’s Law Crash; 15th Such Incident This Year

For the 15th time this year, an Illinois State Police squad car has been struck on an state roadway by a driver who failed to move over as required by law.
 
The latest incident happened Friday afternoon on Interstate 355 in suburban Chicago. A trooper was inside the vehicle with emergency lights activated, conducting a traffic stop, when his car was rear-ended by another vehicle.
 
Both the trooper and the driver were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
