Just hours after Illinois’s primary ended, Governor JB Pritzker is going on the attack against Republican nominee Darren Bailey.
Pritzker is already out with a new ad painting Bailey as too extreme on the issue of abortion. The ad features clips of Bailey saying that Illinois has to, quote, “end this abortion thing” and indicating that he would not allow exceptions even in cases of rape or incest.
With the U.S. Supreme Court ruling striking down a constitutional right to an abortion, the issue could become a major hot button in the general election campaign.
