Chicago Blackhawks Name New Head Coach

The Chicago Blackhawks have officially announced the hiring of Luke Richardson to be their new head coach. Richardson played in the NHL from 1987 to 2008 as a defenseman for a total of 1486 games. Richardson most recently was an assistant coach for the Montreal Canadiens for the past four seasons. Richardson has also been an assistant coach for the Ottawa Senators and the New York Islanders as well as being a head coach for the AHL’s Binghamton Senators. Richardson will have a formal introduction to the press at 11a Wednesday.
