Cooling Centers In Springfield

It is hot outside (in case you didn’t know).  The good news?  A number of cooling centers are now open in Springfield.
The Salvation Army Overnight/Overflow Shelter will also now serve as a cooling center from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday during the week of June 13.
The shelter typically operates 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily.
Thankfully, it will also have extended hours this weekend and remain open from 7 p.m. Saturday through 7 a.m. Monday.
