You’ll be able to get a look at the Springfield Police Department’s new license plate reader technology at a public meeting Monday night.
The department hopes the technology will help officers more quickly locate vehicles suspected of involvement in shootings and other crimes. Monday’s meeting will begin with a brief presentation, and then attendees can visit different exhibits, see the technology, and ask questions.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7pm Monday at the Lincoln Library main branch downtown.
