The latest forecast models suggest Springfield and Central Illinois could be in for a major blast of winter this week.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln says it’s likely that we’ll see six inches or more of snow between late Tuesday and sometime Thursday. Snow totals, as well as the possibility of ice, could be determined by the storm track.
The Weather Service says considerable travel difficulty is expected mid-week.
