The Springfield Ballet Company and Youth Ballet Company’s February show will feature performances by and a chance to meet a dancer who has performed across the country.
Enchanted: Storybook Ballets is SBC’s latest production which will happen on February 26th at the UIS Performing Arts Center. The show will contain excerpts from popular stories like The Little Mermaid, The Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more. The guest artist is Derek Drilon, a ballet dancer who is a former member of the Boston Ballet has competed in national as well as international competitions, and performed in several ballets such as The Nutcracker, The Times Are Racing, and the premiere of Under The Tree’s Voices. After the 6pm performance of Enchanted there will be a limited VIP event with Drilon at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel.
