Illinois veterans who own and operate their own business can display that with a new identifying logo from the state.
The Department of Veterans Affairs says veteran-owned businesses that are registered and in good standing with the state can display the logo, identifying them as veteran-owned small business. A separate, similar logo identifies businesses owned by veterans with service-related disabilities. The signage can be displayed at the business and in marketing materials.
In addition to the logo program, the state allocates $300 million in contracts to be directed to veteran-owned businesses.
