The attorney for Springfield school board vice-president Adam Lopez says Lopez will plead not guilty to all charges against him in a multi-count indictment.
Lopez was being held in the Sangamon County Jail on $1.5 million bond, accused of theft and financial exploitation of the elderly in relation to his work as a financial advisor. For now, Lopez remains on the school board. He cannot be removed on the basis of indictment alone.
His term is up next spring, and there’s no indication on whether he intends to seek another term.
