The health insurance signup period is now underway for the Affordable Care Act.
The Obama-era health care law and the insurance exchanges remain in effect, despite major changes since President Trump took office. Perhaps the biggest change is that while the individual mandate to buy insurance is still technically in place, there is no longer a penalty for failing to do so.

Sign up runs through mid-December.
