A new poll indicates that the 13th Congressional District race between Republican incumbent Rodney Davis and Democratic challenger Betsy Dirksen Londrigan could be tightening.
WCIA Channel 3 reports a new poll from a Democratic polling firm has Londrigan within one point of Davis, 49 percent for Davis to 48 percent for Londrigan. That’s within the poll’s margin of error of plus-or-minus four-point-four percent. That same poll had Londrigan trailing Davis by five points, 51 to 46 percent, a month ago.
Davis and Londrigan will meet in a live debate next Monday night, co-sponsored by the State Journal-Register and WMAY.
