U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is still demanding more documents about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s tenure in the George W. Bush White House. Durbin met with Kavanaugh Thursday… but says there are still big gaps in his record, because thousands of pages of documents are being withheld.
Durbin says those records include efforts for a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, discussions on abortion rights, and views on torture and warrantless wiretapping.
Durbin calls it a… quote… “Constitutional travesty” that those documents are hidden ahead of a vote for a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court. Durbin still isn’t saying how he plans to vote on the nomination.
