Congressman Rodney Davis is repeating his apology for an incident last week in which a former Davis campaign staffer was arrested for accosting Davis’s opponent during one of her campaign events.
Davis says there is no indication that Levi Lovell was sent by his campaign to the Betsy Dirksen Londrigan fundraiser, where Lovell was caught on tape aggressively questioning Londrigan and her husband and appearing at times to make physical contact with them.
Police say it appears Lovell was intoxicated. He was fired the next day. Davis says he does not condone such behavior and won’t tolerate it from anyone working for him.
