The Illinois man suspected of killing four people in a Tennessee Waffle House restaurant had his guns taken away from him previously in Illinois… but the weapons were handed over to his father, and authorities think he may have given the guns back to his son.
29-year-old Travis Reinking of Morton reportedly had mental health issues and had previously threatened someone with an AR-15 while he was wearing a pink dress. Reinking was also arrested last year for being in a “restricted area” near the White House.
His FOID card had been revoked, but his father was allowed to keep the weapons after assuring deputies he would keep the guns away from his son. Authorities are still searching for Reinking and fear he remains armed and dangerous.
