ALPLM Director Remembers Former First Lady Barbara Bush [AUDIO]

Former First Lady Barbara Bush is being remembered as a woman of strength with a terrific sense of humor.

Alan Lowe is the director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum but had frequent contact with Mrs. Bush through his work with the National Archives and as director of the presidential library for her son, George W. Bush.

On the WMAY News Feed, Lowe said Barbara Bush had a unique role and significant influence over the presidencies of both her husband and her son. Barbara Bush died Tuesday at the age of 92.
